Phoenix Netball Club

• Age Requirements: Turn at least 13 years old during the year you start umpiring.
• Payment: Complete the Statement of Supplier form below
• Exam: Rules of Netball
• Course: DPNA Beginner Umpire Course
• Over 18?: Blue Card
• App: Download Rules of Netball

• Umpires are paid for each game they umpire. Payments are made at set points throughout the season.
• Complete a Statement of Supplier form and email a copy to umpiring@phoenixnetball.org.au.

• Register at Netball Learning and then complete and pass the online Rules of Netball Theory Exam. 
• Once successfully completed, please email a copy of your certificate and receipt to: umpiring@phoenixnetball.org.au. The test cost will be reimbursed once you have filled out the appropriate paper work.
• It is highly recommended that prior to commencing this exam you read a copy of the Rules of Netball (2024). The Rules of Netball is also available for purchase on the Netball Australia online shop or you can access digitally through the app.

• Attend the DPNA Beginner Umpire Course, held at Downey Park. Details and registration are through Downey's Umpiring Courses & Important Dates page. 
• Any course costs will be covered by the club.

• For umpires who will be 18 years or older at the start of the season will need to obtain a Blue Card.
